Hot & Ready in Minutes. Stove Top: 1. Gradually add Whole Grain Cream of Wheat and salt (if desired) to boiling water or milk, stirring constantly to prevent boil-over. 2. Return to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 1 minute, stirring frequently. Cool slightly and serve. Whole Grain Cream of Wheat: 1 serving = 3 tbsp. 2 servings = 1/3 cup. 4 servings = 3/4 cup. Water of Milk: 1 serving = 1-1/4 cups. 2 servings = 2 cups. 4 servings = 4 cups. Salt (Optional): 1 serving = 1/8 tsp. 2 servings = 1/4 tsp. 4 servings = 1/2 tsp. Microwave: Microwave (1 serving): 1. Stir together 3 tbsp. Whole Grain Cream of Wheat, 3/4 cup water or milk and dash of salt in 1-qt. microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave on high 1 minute. Stir. Cook 1-2 more minutes or until thickened, stirring every 30 seconds. Remove carefully, cool slightly and serve. Caution: Bowl will be hot; carefully remove from microwave using pot holders. Note: Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Overheating can cause cereal to boil over. Tips: For thinner cereal, add 1-2 tbsp. more water or milk. For thicker cereal, let stand a few minutes.
